Guerilla Trekking

Guerilla Trekking short description:
This is a newly introduced remote easy trekking route and  has been recently explored by some vivid trekkers known as Guerilla Treking in tourism market of Nepal.Trek starts in Beni Bazar and ends at Sulichour after 13 days walking  in rukum district far western Nepal which is known as local federal autonomy state of ethnic Magar and Dalit lower cast.This was hidding trails for the maoist during the political confliction to fight with government. Still, we can see the so many victims of war in the area. Guerilla trekking offers us wide varieties of multi ethnic culture,historical sentiments of war,local cultivation in terrain green valley, rythem of Deuda song which is very famous in far west of Nepal.Except these cultural and historical points, we can see amazing mountain views of Dhaulagiri range to the east, Saipal and Api Himal peak to the west. So, It is totally non turist, local, original and authentic trekking route. The trekkers can get different and unique experience than other trekking.We suggest following itinerary for Guerilla Trekking in Nepal.

TRIP DETAILS GUERILLA TREKKING


Trekking Title: Guerilla Trekking


Maximum Elevation: 3900 m.


Walking Level: 5-6 hours per day.


Trekking Duration: 14 Days

Mode of Operation: Camping Tent Trekking.

Best Season: Mar, Apr, May & Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec.

Trip Grade: Moderate

Group size: Minimum: 2 people to Maximum: 18 people

 

 
Itinerary: Guerilla Trekking


Day   01: Kathmandu to  Beni  Bazar 830m,8 hours drive by bus.

Day   02: Beni to Takam 1665m (6hours) We leave the Beni Bazar for Darbang 24 km drive on the untarred gravel road. Then,we walk 3 hours to reach in Takam along the journey we can have wonderful view of Gurjal Himal peak.

Day   03: Takam to Lamsung 2250m (6 hours). This is the main area of war between maoist and government during the political confliction in Nepal. The local people will share terrible history of fighting period  with us.
 
Day   04: Lamsung to Gurjaghat 3020m (7 hours). We should climb up through dense pine forests with musk deer darting in the undergrowth. The green meadows on the ridge offer 180 degree views of Mount  Dhaulagiri Himalayan ranges  the entire ranges up to Churen Himal to  the west.

Day   05: Gurjaghat to Dhorpatan 2860m (5 hours). This day you will cross the Magdi and you wil reach in Baglung district where you can visit former Tibetan refugee Camp of 1950s. You will enter the very famous only one Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve of Nepal. Tourist can hunt the wild animals with special permits. 
              
Day   06: Dhorpatan to Nisi Dhor (5 hours).This is known as  paradise kongdom for diffrent colourful  birds. Local people will stay temporarily in this place according to seasonal change.

Day   07: Nisi Dhor to Tallo Sera(7 hours). We cross the Baglung district to reach in  Rukum district which is known as  Magar autonomy federal state. It was war base area of maioist during the confliction period.

Day   08: Tallo Sera to Rujhikhola(6 hours).We Walk to Lukum Village in Rukum where we can find majoriety of  ethnic Magars and Dalits(lower cast) of Nepal. This village looks like medieval  untouched by the modern life style.

Day   09: Rujhikhola to Thabang(5 hours):Thabang was chaotic place because of political war. Many maoists and local people were killed by helicopter attacks and bombs. But after republic Nepal local infrastructure is being developed slowly.
              
Day 10: Thabang to Jaljale(5 hours). Mian altitude point of this trek is Dharampani (3900m) in Jaljale from where we can have super magnificient views of  Dhaulagiri Himalayan range to the east and Api Himal peak recently known climbing peak and very famous Saipal Himal peak in the far west of Nepal.

Day 11: Jajala to Jelbang(6 hours) We descend from the altitude in mixed ethnic  cultural village.
              
Day 12: Jelbang to Suliochaur(6 hours). We finally arrive in Rolpa district headquater. This was the main headquator  of maoist  in far west during the war. We can find local restaurants run by maoist co-operatives. People are so kind and friendly. Some we meet the family were killed during the confliction.

Day 13: Sulichaur to Kathmandu(13 hours by bus): It is too long journey by bus so we suggest to our clients we can stop in mid route to have local lodge or hotel to minimize the distance for next morning.
Day 14: Sulichour- Stop for a night in mid route-Kathmandu.

TRIP COST INCLUDES:
• All airport/Hotel transfers service by private car or tourist mini bus according to group size.
• 2 star level Hotel in Kathmandu at Thamel touristic city with breakfast except lunch and dinner.
• Welcome drinks will be served at hotel after arrival then trip briefing will be given by our company responsible.
• All lodging or camping and hygienic food with hot drinks during the trekking.
• Salary, insurance, trekking equipment, flight tickets, bus tickets, food and lodging for all staffs.
• Tourist bus or domestic flights and airport taxes as mentioned in above itinerary.
• An experienced & professional English or French speaking trekking guide or Mountain guide according to your demand, assistant trekking guides, chef cook, assistant cooks for camping trekking only and porters to carry your luggage.
ATTENTION: We give you 1 porter for 2 clients. 1 porter carries only 20kg in tea house trekking and 30 kg in camping trekking according to syndicate of Nepal porters association.
• All necessary formalities and Trekking permits, peak permits, expedition permits, National park fees, TIMS Card etc according to trip nature.
• All government and local taxes will be paid by our company.

TRIP COST EXCLUDES:
• Nepal visa fee 40 USD for a month. Nepal visa can be obtained at your country in Nepalese consulate office before arrival in Nepal or you can get Nepal visa after arrival in Kathmandu airport.
• International Airfare to and from Kathmandu.
• Excess baggage charges.
• Extra night accommodation in Kathmandu because of early arrival, late departure, early return from mountain (Due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary.
• Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu (And also in the case of early return from mountain than the scheduled itinerary).
• Travel, Trekking and Helicopter Rescue insurance.
• Personal high altitude medicines, first aid kits, equipments, gears, cloths etc.
• Personal expenses (Phone Calls, Laundry, bar bills during the trekking, Battery recharge of camera or mobile, extra porters if you wish to take, mineral water, Shower etc).
• Tips for Guides and Porters according to custom of trekking in Nepal since long though this is not obligation if your trip is not satisfied with our staffs.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
For the camping trekking, you should not bring any utensils, mattress, tents, ropes, pillow, toilet papers etc from your country. We will be provided these all by our trekking company. But you should bring your personal: medicines for high altitude, first aid kits, equipments, sleeping bags, gears and cloths as we suggested in our website.
