Chulu West Climbing (6420m)
There are two Chulus peaks (East and West), Chulu West is the higher one. This was first ascended in 1952 by a Japanese Expedition group. The Base Camp of this peak is located in a small valley to the north of Manangalong along the trekking trail to the Thorang La.
There is a controversial matter about the name and location of the Chulu peaks. There are several peaks nearby Chulu massif but there is not indicated well in the map. Some maps indicate three Chulus East,West and Centre. There is no technical difficulty in climbing this peak.
