Peak Climbing

There are so many white snow caped and black rocky beautiful peaks in Nepal. Nepal Mountaineering Association(NMA) allows for climbing "A" and "B" categories 33 peaks with special peak permits and Nepal Government Ministry of Tourism allows for climbing rest of the peaks with special expedition permits. The popular and frequent peaks for the climbers are: Island peak, Mera peak,Yala peak, Nayakang peak,Pisang peak,Thorong peak, Thapa peak,Tent peak,Chulu East, Chulu West etc.
We have several virgin peaks and not baptized peaks to explore for the challenging climbers from all over the world. Some peaks are known as sacred holy peaks like Machhapuchre (Fish Tail) in Annapurna region and Ganesh Himal peak. Nepal government doesn't allow for climbing these peaks to respect religious beliefs of people so that attraction and beauty of such peaks can't destroy any more.

Island Peak (6189 m)

Imja Tse peak is popularly known as Island peak in Everest region at altitude 6189 meter. The peakwas named as Island peak by Eric Shipton and his party in 1953 because they viewed this peak like an island in the sea of ice form Dingboche. Later in 1983, this peak was renamed as Imja Tse in locale Tibetan language. This peak was climbed by British team and Tenjing Norgay Sherpa in 1953 for the first time as a good preparation to summit Mt. Everest expedition. The climbers can take benefits to view Lhotse Shar,Baruntse, Amphu and Amadablam to the south,Nuptse,Middle peak to the north and Cho polu and Makalu to the East. Mera Peak (6654 m)

This is the highest trekking peak of Nepal. It is located to the south part of Mt. Everest and lies the watershed landscapes between the heavy wooden forest valleys of the Hinku and Hongu Drangkas. J.O.M. Roberts and Tenzing Sherpa climbed Mera Peak on 20 May 1953 for the first time. There are so many trekking routes to climb this peak. Some of them require crossing very high, difficult and massif passes. Summit of this peak offers a panoramic splendid view of Chamlang, Kangchenjunga, Makalu and Baruntse in the east and Cho-Oyu, Ama Dablam and Kangtega to the west. Everest can be viewed to the north side over the massive south face of Lhotse also Nuptse and Lhotse ridge. Pisang Peak (6091 m)

This is very beautiful peak which is located in Annapurna region. Pisang Peak offers a great exploration of Annapurna range, Kangaru valley, Marshyangdi valley, and Manaslu range from the summit point. The hanging glaciers, ice and black rocky parts make this peak climbing more challenging and technical than other peak. Thorong Peak (6100 m)

This facinated and luring Thorong peak became mor popular in these days for the climbers which is located to the south of Thorong pas 5416m on the left side. We can summit this peak turning for while to the base camp for a night,after summit we can descent the Muktinath in same day. So, the professional trekkers and cliembers take benefits in short time to get summit this peak while they are planning for Thorong pass in regular trekking route in Annapurna round..Click here for Iteneray and Details..


Yala Peak(5732 m)

This peak is located very close to the Tibetan border in Langtnag region. It can be climbed in 2 or 3  days from Kyanjin Gompa (3900m) walking up for camping at Yala Kharka (4600m) or Tserko Ri (5033m) and next day summit to Yala peak and come down in Kyangjin Gompa. The summit of Yala offers spectacular views of Shishapangma 8000m in Tibet and other Tibetan mountain ranges. Saribung Peak

Saribung peak Climbing is recently introduced mountain expedition ideal for the explorers those who wish to get off the beaten track. Saribung (6346m) lies in the isolated in Damodar Himal, near Damodarkund, border with Tibet. Only a few of climbers have reached to the summit of this Peak.Saribung peak Climbing is recently introduced mountain expedition ideal for the explorers those who wish to get off the beaten track. Chulu West Peak(6419 m)

There are two Chulus  peaks (East and West), Chulu West is the higher one. This was first ascended in 1952 by a Japanese Expedition group. The Base Camp of this peak is located in a small valley to the north of Manangalong along the trekking trail to the Thorang La.
There is a controversial matter about the name and location of the Chulu peaks. There are several peaks nearby Chulu massif but there is not indicated well in the map. Chulu East Peak (6584 m)

This peak was climbed in 1955 by a German expedition from the north-east side.There are another peaks together with Chulu East like Chulu West, Manang Himal and Damodar Himal. This one is smaller peak in the region. From the summit of this peak, the climbers can take benefits view with Manang valley,Annapurnas II, III and IV, Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho Peak and Manaslu. The climbing is combined with the classic trek Jomsom or the Annapurna massif, ascending the Marshyangdi valley and crossing the Thorung La pass walk to Jomsom descending from Muktinath....Click here for Iteneray and Details..

 


Larkya Peak (6249 m)

This is very beautiful and attractive peak in Manaslu region which is not so frequent as other usual peaks in Everest region and Annapurna region. We can make target for Larkya base camp from Dharmasala which is way to Larkya pass in classic trekking route of Manaslu region.

The summit of Larkya peak offers to the climbers the best views of Manaslu peak more than 8000m, Manaslurange, Himlung Himal, Marshyandivalley, Budigandakivalley, Kangaroo valley, Ganesh Himal range, Annapurna range, and other tibetan mountain ranges.This peak is not so difficult to climb technically.

Nayakang Peak (5844 m)

Formerly known as Ganja La Chuli, Naya Kanga (5,844 m) rises to the west of Ganja La, and is a popular but difficult mountain to climb. The normal route to this peak is via the snowy north-east ridge. It is not yet clear who climbed this summit first. The most important reward of climbing Naya Kanga is the spectacular view of mountains in or near Tibet.....Click here for Iteneray and Details..

 


Tent Peak (5844 m)

Tharpu Chuli is very popular and known as Tent peak which is located in the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary. This attractive and beautiful peak looks like a tent with white snow on the top. It is standing to the south from the glacier dome including Singu Chuli peak in same line. The summit offers a spectacular view of the Machhapuchhre and Annapurna mountains.
