| Why should I choose a trek in Nepal?
Nepal is home to the magnificent Himalaya Mountains. The mountains provide spectacular views from in the valleys or up-close. In addition to the snow-capped mountains, the rest of the country boasts hills, valleys and tropical lowlands. The elevation ranges from 70 meters, in the south, to the peak of Mt. Everest (8848m) all within 150 kilometers. This causes Nepal to be home to an impressive array of plants and animals. Rhododendron and Orchids are common, while animals ranging from snow leopards to tigers and rhinos can be found. On top of this Nepal has an amazing amount of cultural diversity. Both Buddhism and Hinduism have large followings in Nepal. And the country is home to over 60 ethnic groups.
